Learn from First Generation Pilates Master Teacher

Lolita holds the distinction of being one of the only two known practitioners to have been officially certified by Joseph and Clara Pilates and awarded degrees by the State University of New York to teach the Pilates Method.

She has also been certified by Polestar Pilates Education and was awarded a Gold Certificate by the Pilates Method Alliance. She is one of the five "Distinguished Elders" of the Pilates Method Alliance and a member of the Advisory Board of Pilates Style magazine.

Lolita Shares Her Reformer I & II

Joseph Pilates was, like the most important piece of equipment he created, a truly universal reformer of bodies. In her Reformer workshop, which includes over 100 exercises, First generation Master Teacher Lolita shares her warm-up, starting with seated breathing, side stretches, rotation leading to variations that emphasize sequencing, transitions, cueing, peppered with historical anecdotes of her teachers, Joseph and Clara Pilates and Carola Trier-as well as the latest kinesiology and scientific findings. A Pilates workout aimed to improve if not completely reverse the loss of balance, the diminution in pulmonary capacity, circulation, flexibility, range of movement, coordination, slowing of reflexes, mental acuity and concentration human beings experience in the Golden Years. The workshop includes BodyWalk, providing a an upper body workout while walking, based on Pilates principles. PMA CEC of 3 hrs

Become a CARDIOLATES® Instructor!
Earn 1.2 NASM credits


Learn the technique and choreography of CARDIOLATES®, as well as the health benefits of rebounding that will help you educate and promote rebounding to your clients. In the course, you will learn the basic formats for CARDIOLATES® group classes, CARDIOLATES® circuit training and CARDIOLATES® conditioning programs. For CARDIOLATES® group classes, protocol for beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels will be taught, as well as the appropriate beats per minute to look for when you are selecting music, and the appropriate beats per minute for each section of choreography. You will also learn:

How to incorporate CARDIOLATES® as part of a circuit training regime in privates or semi-privates.
How to teach your clients CARDIOLATES® conditioning: a 5-20 minute program that you can do with them or they can do on their own before or after their workouts.
In addition, the health benefits of rebounding.

Most importantly, we will cover how to monitor your clients’ exertion level and heart rate, as well as the protocol for clients with special needs and conditions. Finally, we will cover the CARDIOLATES® stretching sequence which has proven effective in balancing muscle groups after the workout to aid in injury prevention and enhance an overall feeling of well-being. The CARDIOLATES® Course:
  • With Pilates mat Instructor Training: 12 hours
  • With no Pilates mat Instructor Training: 16 hours

BOSU® Workshop

Stability Ball Workshop

Add variety, challenge and fun to your workouts with exercises on the Stability Ball. Using the stability ball helps clients engage their deep abdominal muscles to help strengthen the core and enhance overall core stability. “Old” mat exercises can be revived on the ball and the many new exercises target muscles not normally focused on in a typical mat class.

Both workshops will cover exercises for beginner through advanced clients. Attention will be given to proper set up, execution and cueing so that you will finish this 2-4 hour workshop with all the tools necessary to start using the stability ball and BOSU more in your studio. Even those familiar with the two will learn new exercises and new ways to challenge your clients.

Pregnancy Workshop

Did you know your client does not have to stop her pilates sessions when she becomes pregnant? Did you know that if she continues her pilates sessions throughout her pregnancy, she will most likely bounce back more quickly and find it easier to return to her pre-pregnancy fitness level?

In this workshop, we will first cover the contraindications for all stages of a woman’s pregnancy in detail. Next, we will discuss in depth the many different ways to modify exercises for your client as her body changes throughout pregnancy. Exercises from the mat and mat-based repertoire and from all of the equipment (reformer, chair, Cadillac, spine supporter and barrels) will be covered. We will provide you with the knowledge and tools you need to program for your client safely to help her maintain strength, flexibility and peace of mind throughout her pregnancy and beyond.

Stretch Band Workshop

Discover more ways to add variety and resistance training to your mat classes or private Pilates lessons with the Stretch Band. Also known as the Exercise Band, the Stretch Band is a true total gym--- and it only weighs 4 ounces! In this workshop, students will learn over 60 exercises to infuse into their Pilates repertoire as well as the clients’. Students will acquire the knowledge of how to modify exercises with the stretch band to create more support or increase the challenge of classical Pilates exercises. In addition, with the stretch band, students will learn to incorporate dozens more upper body strengthening and toning exercises, many of which mimic exercises on the Cadillac or Reformer. …And the exercises for the legs and buttsky will make you think you have a reformer in your pocket! Moreover, the Stretch Band is a valuable tool for your clients to have, as it will allow you to give them “homework”. Even when work or travel prevents your clients from making it to their Pilates sessions, they can be doing the “assignment” you’ve given them with this versatile, portable, and indispensable piece of Pilates equipment.

Pink Ribbon Pilates Workshop

Help your client re-embrace life! To all instructors who train courageous women who have survived breast cancer, our Pink Ribbon Pilates program is designed just for you. Katherine and Kimberly spent many hours volunteering at Mount Sinai's Breast Health Resource Center and thus understand women in all stages of recovery.

Pink Ribbon Pilates will help your clients do the following:

Regain strength and mobility in the affected arm: Whether their goal is to play tennis again or simply wash their hair without tightness or pain, we will provide you with a systematic progression of exercises to enable you to increase their strength and flexibility of the affected arm.

Improve core strength after reconstruction involving abdominal surgeries: If a client has had a Tram Flap, we will inform you of the procedure and how you can work with your client's current strengths and weaknesses to develop a safe and effective core strength building program. Whether they were just cleared for safe exercise by their doctor or are many years post-op and still not feeling confident in their strength.

Circulate lymph and remove toxins! Help prevent the onset of lymphedema!: Our CARDIOLATES® program integrates the alignment principles of Pilates with the physiological and cardiovascular benefits of rebounding. Rebound exercise - which uses a rebounder, much like a mini- trampoline, but more durable - is well known for its ability to increase lymphatic circulation. Many of our breast cancer survivors have found us because their doctors have recommended rebounding in order to prevent the onset of lymphedema. As the lymphatic system is the great detoxifier of the body, rebounding is a safe and effective way to increase circulation of both the blood and the lymph and detoxify, even if your client is not at risk for lymphedema. Because the mat of the rebounder absorbs 87% of the shock to the body, their joints will thank you for engaging in CARDIOLATES®.

CORPS PHYSIQUE Mat Pilates Extras

Exam Review
Don't let the idea of the exam stress you out! Learn straight from the creators in this 3 hour exam review to get you so prepared for your exam that you're looking forward to it!! We will cover the integration of posture analysis into programming for clients, safety, most effective and efficient modifications, muscular emphasis of exercises and the ins and outs of ideal cueing and correcting. A mock exam will be conducted so that you know EXACTLY what to expect in the practical, and we will also present you with a mock written exam so that you can understand more fully EXACTLY what we expect you to know. Come armed with questions, as we will devote the last 30-45 minutes of the review to your questions. And remember, the only dumb question is the one that isn't asked!!!
