NYC Pilates Education

Since opening in 2000, Pilates on Fifth has distinguished itself as the premier studio for Pilates, CARDIOLATES®, and GYROTONIC® in New York City. Pilates on Fifth has often been commended in the press, but our favorite praise comes directly from our clients. Pilates on Fifth is now the headquarters of the Pilates Academy International. Our Academy is truly unique; our relationship with Mt. Sinai School of Medicine helps our certification students understand Pilates from a medical point of view.

Study at the Pilates Academy International, and you'll learn about anatomy and the biomechanics of Pilates, as well as the skills of client acquisition, motivation and retention. We offer a variety of courses, including training in the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels. In addition, we also offer advanced courses for these pieces of equipment. You can also learn how to teach Pilates to specialized populations, such as the elderly, pregnant women, and clients with injuries.
