CARDIOLATES® Classes!!

CARDIOLATES® is an exciting exercise program which combines the cardiovascular and cellular benefits of rebounding with the core strengthening and postural benefits of Pilates. Pilates effectively strengthens and flattens the abs, lengthens and tones muscles and improves posture, but it fails to provide one important health benefit: cardiovascular activity. Rebounding strengthens the body's musculoskeletal system by providing an increased gravitational load without the impact to the joints that running, jogging or aerobics generates.

The rebounding technique used in CARDIOLATES® maintains the body's proper alignment and thus the body is strengthened in its OPTIMAL POSTURE. Your deep core muscles engage automatically as they work to keep you upright and thus gain the strength necessary to keep you moving through all your daily activities with beautiful posture. Why overwork one muscle group (as most cardiovascular activities such as treadmills, stairmasters, etc. do) when you can strengthen every cell of your body in perfect alignment with CARDIOLATES®?!

1) CARDIOLATES® CLASSES
Join a group and Jump!! The class begins with Pilates warm-ups for alignment, then proceeds to core-strengthening Pilates mat exercises. After that, we proceed to rebound!! The class will rebound together for 25-30 minutes, taking opportunities to stretch and tone intermittently as needed. In the last 15 minutes of class, we add some additional arm exercises as well as key stretches to balance muscle groups.
2) CARDIOLATES® CIRCUIT TRAINING
If you'd rather incorporate CARDIOLATES® into your private or duet session, you can!! Just let your instructor know you'd like to try it, and you can jump as little or much as you would like during your session. Additionally, have you ever tried "Hundreds" on a Rebounder?

Studies have shown that as little as 30 seconds of running* between exercise stations dramatically improved aerobic endurance (17%), reduced body fat percentages 10.9%-17.1% in 12 weeks, and increased strength up to 26% in that same period." From Port Authority/Times Square:

  • Walk East on 42nd Street to 5th Avenue OR
  • 7 train from Times Square to 5 Ave/42nd St (Bryant Park)
  • Standing on the SW corner of 5th/42nd (library on your right) we are diagonally to your right across the street.

From Grand Central Terminal:

  • Exit the South side of Grand Central
  • Walk West on 42nd Street to 5th Avenue
  • Turn left onto 5th Avenue OR
  • 7 train from Grand Central to 5 Ave/42nd St (Bryant Park)

From Bryant Park (7 train stop):

  • If you exit at 6th Ave/42nd St walk east to 5th Ave

Power Privates (solo workouts)

Enjoy the following pricing options. Off-peak hours* only for equipment and cardio usage. Mat classes may be taken at any time.

$245 for non-dancers and $220.50 for dancers (includes unlimited solo workouts, cardio and mat classes)

Solo Workouts:
  • 1 session: $24.30 (this is a 10% discount off the Mind Body Gymnasium page rate)
  • 10 sessions: $220.50 (ditto above)
  • 20 sessions: $387 (double ditto above)

Appointments may be scheduled on the hour throughout the day with the last appointment ending at the time we close. We take appointments on the quarter hour after 5PM Monday through Thursday.

We do take instructor requests although we cannot guarantee you will be with the same instructor each time. To ensure that you get the same high quality work out each time, our instructors keep detailed records of each client in the client's file.
